The Random Reader’s Guide to surfing this site

Now you’ve made it this far, let’s make it worth your while.

What you’ll find here, apart from my rants and ramblings about albums and bands beloning to (or just haply brushing on) my musical tastes’ galaxy, is basically just reviews. Actually, those rants and ramblings are my reviews.

Before you start complaining (freedom’s always one click away, anyway), let’s not forget I also had to make sacrifices to make this happen. I dropped hours of fruitful studying (alright, “fruitful” is more of what I wish it was), I took lots of time away from listening more carefully and attentively to the albums I review, and I even gave up my trademark no-capital letter writing in a sheer attempt to make it all easier to read.

(I know what you’re thinking: how about just writing better, instead of doing yourself such a violence? In my defence I can say I didn’t crave to make my writing more readable that much)

Jokes aside (let’s keep them where they belong, among the truly important things), this is basically just your average music review blog. It’s the place I’ll be posting my opinions about some of the albums I listen to, either because they’re so good they’re worth a mention, or ’cause they suck so bad they also are. Or just because I had some time to waste and thought a good use for it would be to bore someone else to death.

So you have two basic options: either scroll down the review page till you find something you may be interested in, or use the search option at the top right corner of the main page. There must also be a way to categorise or tag every review properly and make them easier to surf through (search by band, album title, year of release and genre), but I haven’t quite sorted it out right yet, so I’d advice you just take one of the easier roads. As soon as I manage it, you’ll get a few tips on how to do it.

Next to this tab there’s a link to my last.fm profile. I figured it would be the simplest way to give you a quick idea of what I normally listen to. My listening habits will give you a better picture of my taste than a thousand words would (and will).

The reviews’ layout is so simple I think it’s of no use to explain it any further.

I think that should suffice. Enjoy your stay, or walk gently away – a short number of links to other (and better) review sites will help you in that case. You can find them… somewhere on this site.

SIDE NOTE: I’m still in the process of transferring the old reviews into this new database (’cause this is actually version 3.0 of my blog, but you don’t need to know more about it), and that might take quite a few days. So please be patient if a seemingly random reference pops up here and there. Also, bear in mind that’s still gonna be the case when I’m done with the transfer.
